Meditation is a deeper aspect of dialogue. Photography for me begins as dialogue with whomever or whatever I photograph. From Age to Age is my use of nature as metaphor to question life, time and immortality. The photographs in this series were made at a small lake with surrounding woods near my home. Making photographs in the same small area time and again can become wearisome and non productive. Its like having the same conversation over and over. But just when I think there is nothing more to photograph something new presents itself. This encourages me to keep shooting and to wait for the quiet moments when dialogue becomes meditation.
